I was captivated by the textures and the rustic architecture at this old mill off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd county, Virginia.

I was totally into this Photography 101: Architecture assignment.

the rustic charm you have captured in these pictures remind me of my grandparents farm many years ago; beautiful
How intricate the stone work of the chimney. Such an even, level pattern made up of stones of all sizes fitting together with a sense of ease, as if they had just slid in there.
I love that old mill. We’ve only been there in the spring. Your photos make me want to visit in the fall.
The fall colors rival the spring. It’s definitely worth a visit in October.
Beautiful. I love old, run down, and abandoned buildings. The weathering and texture of wood and stone is beautiful.
I loved the stone and the wood too. So much detail.
wow love this rustic collection x
I love those ‘old’ buildings, now retired and left sitting to weather, keeping their secrets. It’s wonderful that they can be captured on film before time (or ‘progress’) completely destroys them.
Great shots! My favourite is your deliberate composition of Cabin at Mabry Mill.
