Making a new home

Removing hardware so I can paint my office

We bought a house. And we’re changing everything about it. We ripped out carpets to install wood flooring upstairs, and to paint the concrete in the basement downstairs.

And for the first time ever, I will have my own room to work from. My own office.

I’ve already removed all the hardware and taped off so I can paint. I can’t wait.

  1. Enjoy the renovations and great news about having your own office. When my son was born my husband and I both refused to move out of our own office rooms so in the end we moved house! Drastic but for the better, bigger house, better location. Will you be posting photos when completed?

  2. First thing we always did when moving into a new home (apart from putting the kettle on) was changing the door locks. With our last but one property, we inherited a bunch of some 30 keys to the front door, and after we moved in, seven neighbours called round to return the key the Old Dear had given them in case she was taken ill.
Duplicate keys to the boat? Nah. We bought combination pad locks and each have a key to the engine.
