  1. Hello Andrea, it’s lovely to hear about your Christmas preparations. I live in Australia where it is warm but very damp. It’s been raining for days but no-one is complaining because this time last year the whole country was on fire, so we are glad of the rain.
    We have amazing cherries this year. I wish I could send you some but I know that aren’t the kind you need which are quite sour I think? Ours are big and sweet and delicious. I demolished half a pound last night all by myself.
    I made some lemon and almond shortbread last week and it was great. You put the raw almonds in the food processor and blitz them (not too fine) so they are coarser than almond meal. You also leave the skins on so you can pretend they are healthy!

  3. Like you, I’ve tried to be as festive at home as possible. I’m pulling out old cookie favorite recipes, and trying a few new traditions – lasagne for Christmas dinner! Thanksgiving we made berry crisp – frozen berries did the trick – maybe that will sub for your cherry pie?
